Cyta Hellas deploys Cisco DWDM

Greek full-service telco Cyta Hellas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cypriot national operator Cyta, has deployed Cisco’s Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) optical fibre transport solution for a new high speed backbone, the US-based technology provider disclosed on its website blog. Cyta Hellas, which recently launched mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) services and IPTV to complement its existing fixed telephony and fixed broadband services, currently operates a Greek fibre-optic network spanning over 5,000km.
