Entel builds 1,000 rural telecentres in Bolivia

Bolivia’s dominant fixed line and wireless operator Entel has announced that it has deployed 1,000 rural telecentres so far this year following an investment of USD56 million. The centres use GSM technology to offer connectivity to remote villages, and the telco says it has now installed 1,763 sites, with a further 1,500 to be added in 2015, Telecompaper writes.
