Mobile network operator Orange Armenia, a subsidiary of Orange Group (formerly France Telecom), invested AMD103 billion (USD251.4 million) in its networks and services since its launch in November 2009, says the cellco’s CEO Francis Gelibter. ‘Today we celebrate the fifth anniversary of our operations in Armenia. What did the company give to Armenia and what did it offer to its subscribers? First of all, over AMD103 billion of investments,’ Gelibter told journalists yesterday. ‘During those five years, we have worked hard to give more freedom of choice to our customers and creating more possibilities for them to enjoy our services. We are grateful for their loyalty and trust which [we] have created with the Orange [brand],’ he added, noting too that Orange Armenia paid AMD49 billion in licence fees and taxes and created 800 jobs over the five-year period.
