Tele2’s mobile service revenues climb 8% in Q3

Swedish telecoms group Tele2 reports that in the third quarter of 2014 its consolidated group mobile end-user service revenue grew by 8% year-on-year to SEK3.252 billion (USD448 million), while its home market also saw a strong quarter with Swedish mobile end-user service revenue up 6%, fuelled by continued strong data usage and net intake of 28,000 cellular users. Consolidated group EBITDA saw year-on-year growth of 14.3% to SEK1.682 billion, while total consolidated revenues increased by 1.3% to SEK6.584 billion. Other drivers of growth included Tele2 Kazakhstan’s positive net intake of 108,000 mobile users in the quarter, and Tele2 Netherlands’ net mobile customer growth of 24,000, as the Dutch unit prepares for its full facilities-based network relaunch.
