MobiTV powers cloud DVR for DT’s Entertain

15 Oct 2014

MobiTV has announced that it is powering new cloud recording capabilities for Deutsche Telekom’s (DT’s) ‘Entertain to go’ streaming service, which delivers live and on-demand programming across screens in and out of the home. With the enhancement of cloud recording, customers can now also view personally-recorded programmes on laptops, tablets and smartphones, offering added flexibility and convenience. MobiTV’s network nVR software solution allows recorded programmes to be stored in the cloud and played on any mobile device, anytime and anywhere. Entertain to go is available on up to four devices and includes 40 channels and a wide selection of movies; the service offers customers ten hours of cloud storage with the option to purchase additional space. ‘We are committed to providing customers with the most advanced options in TV viewing,’ commented Gert von Manteuffel, DT’s VP Product Management TV, adding: ‘Since collaborating with MobiTV to power Entertain, we are now the only company in Germany offering live TV, video on demand and access to customers’ recorded programmes across multiple screens.’
