NetLink Trust completes integration of Next Gen NBN

6 Oct 2014

Singapore’s NetLink Trust has announced that it has completed the integration of Singapore’s Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network (Next Gen NBN) core fibre infrastructure and resources into one operation, roughly two months ahead of schedule. Effective 1 October 2014, NetLink Trust became the fibre network operator of the Next Gen NBN, in place of OpenNet, which was subsumed into the enlarged entity. NetLink Trust has also fully integrated the respective companies’ passive infrastructure, which includes central offices, ducts and a manhole network, and the capabilities of fibre network design, build and management. By the end of September 2014 NetLink Trust claimed that it had fulfilled more than 620,000 fibre subscriptions.
