Ice.net to lease 5MHz block of 900MHz spectrum from Tele2 Norway

Norwegian mobile network operator Ice.net has entered into an agreement to lease a 5MHz block of 900MHz spectrum from Mobile Norway, which is owned by Tele2 Norway. As per the agreement between the two companies, Tele2 Norway will grant the use of the frequencies in question to Ice.net between 1 October 2014 and 1 April 2015. In addition, under the terms of the deal Ice.net has also agreed to purchase parts of Tele2 Norway’s mobile network infrastructure, should the latter’s acquisition by TeliaSonera be approved by local competition authorities. No financial terms of the agreement have been disclosed.
