Telkom, Telstra to work together to sell network services in Indonesia

Telkom Indonesia and its Australian telco counterpart Telstra have formed a joint venture initiative to sell network services in Indonesia, starting from 2015. It is understood the pair intend to offer a range of products, including managed data networks, security services, unified and business continuity services, communications and cloud solutions including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Commenting on the JV, Telstra’s global enterprise and services group executive Brendon Riley, said: ‘The partnership is an important step in Telstra’s Asia strategy and aligns with our aim to build new growth businesses that leverage the strengths of our unique [network application and services] capabilities. We are excited to build a new market of enterprise solutions with Telkom.’ The duo intend to offer customers an end-to-end solution, bundled with the Indonesian telco’s connectivity, and distributed through their various enterprise sales teams.
