Swedish telecoms group TeliaSonera has revealed that it will book a one-off SEK600 million (USD83 million) cost for Q3 2014 linked to the value of network rollouts in its Eurasia mobile operations, following a similar SEK412 million write-down in the previous quarter, Reuters reports. The Eurasia division – including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and other countries – is subject to ongoing investigations stemming from corruption allegations; TeliaSonera disclosed that the write-down resulted from external assessment of its Eurasia balance sheet, while adding that the one-off hit ‘has no cash impact.’
