Belgacom rebrands under Proximus banner

29 Sep 2014

Belgian telecommunications service provider Belgacom is rebranding all its fixed line, broadband, mobile, TV and IT products and services under its existing mobile ‘Proximus’ brand as of Monday 29 September. TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate reported the Belgian provider’s announcement of its plans to rebrand all services under the Proximus banner in March of this year when the company claimed that making Proximus the main commercial brand would ‘combine the best of two worlds’. True to its word, the change has been implemented and details of a new logo and baseline – ‘Always close’ – have also been released. According to CEO Dominique Leroy: ‘This change is a fundamental part of our growth strategy in which, more than ever, we are putting our customers at the centre of everything we do.’ All changes will take place automatically over the next few weeks with no need for customers to do anything.
