T-2, Telekom launch 1Gbps services

Telekom Slovenije and its rival Slovenian broadband operator T-2 have announced the launch of new 1Gbps download speeds over their respective fibre-optic networks. Telekom says its ‘Top Trio 1G’ plan will offer internet access at peak speeds of 1Gbps download/20Mbps upload, plus TV and telephony services at a promotional price of EUR99 (USD127) a month with a two-year contract, or EUR199 with no contract. T-2, meanwhile, says subscribers to its ‘T3’ and ‘T4’ multi-play packages can now take a peak 1Gbps/100Mbps service, with prices ranging from EUR94.99 to EUR99.99 a month depending on the services taken.
