19 Sep 2014

LIME, the Caribbean unit of UK-based Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC), has selected Comverse to provide managed services for a range of Comverse and non-Comverse products. As part of the five-year managed services agreement, Comverse employees ‘strategically located’ across LIME geographies will implement a continuous improvement process to ensure service levels are maintained. Further, they will also help the company to optimise costs, enhance subscriber experience, accelerate the speed to market for promotions and offers, and increase operational efficiency. Among the services that will be looked after by Comverse for LIME are: Application Configuration Management for Comverse ONE, Comverse’s flagship BSS solution; managed operations for Comverse ONE in Jamaica and Barbados; and managed operations for Comverse next-generation voicemail, USSD solutions.

Commenting on the deal, Carlo Alloni, Group CTIO at CWC, said: ‘Over the years, the broad range of Comverse Solutions has enabled LIME to deliver superior customer service. Solutions such as Rating/Charging, voicemail, messaging and USSD have reinforced our product offerings to deliver on our vision to utilise technology to transform how people live, work and play in the Caribbean by offering the best communication services – from landline and mobile to broadband, TV and entertainment … With a history of good deliveries and high-quality support for the services, Comverse was the natural choice for managing and testing our services and applications – including third-party products and solutions.’
