True/YTP talks put on hold

Negotiations between Thailand’s True Corp and Myanmar telco Yatanarpon Teleport (YTP) regarding a potential tie-up to launch mobile services have been put on hold, Reuters cites a senior True official as saying. True’s chief financial officer Noppadol Dej-Udom explained that there are some conditions that the two parties have been unable to reach an agreement on: ‘What we offer is super fair. Now, we are open to Yatanarpon negotiating with other operators. True is still waiting.’ Despite the lack of progress with YTP, True has set up a subsidiary to offer some services in Myanmar soon, the official added without giving any further details.
