Ooredoo Maldives has reportedly extended its 3.5G HSPA+ network to the island of Kaafu Dhiffushi, which represents the latest phase of its network modernisation programme – as unveiled in July this year. Roughly 30 of 64 planned islands have been granted connectivity thus far, with Ooredoo’s rollout expected to conclude by the end of this month. When complete, the HSPA+ network will cover 95% of the Maldives population.
