CNT’s LTE ‘nationwide’ in two years

Ecuadorian government-backed full-service operator CNT aims to expand the coverage of its 4G LTE mobile network ‘nationwide’ within two years, according to its marketing director Alexander Gomez. In a report by El Telegrafo, cited by Telecompaper, Gomez added that CNT has earmarked around USD36 million investment in the LTE network which currently covers Guayaquil, Quito, Manta, Portoviejo, Ambato and Santo Domingo, under a plan involving the deployment of 400 base stations.
