The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has announced that the country’s telcos and internet service providers (ISPs) spent NPR2.39 billion (USD24.3 million) on internet bandwidth fees in the last fiscal year, down from NPR2.59 billion the year before. The fall in bandwidth fees was largely due to lower international charges, the Himalayan reports. The main two operators, Ncell and Nepal Telecom, spent NPR1.18 billion and NPR992.5 million respectively, according to the NTA.
