Vodafone launches VDSL vectoring offer

5 Aug 2014

Vodafone Germany has begun offering fixed broadband speeds of up to 100Mbps download and 40Mbps upload through VDSL vectoring technology. The company says the increased data rates are initially available to ‘several hundred thousand households’ in selected locations across the country, including Hilden, Kiel, Tubingen and Offenburg, but it plans to expand vectoring technology in the coming years, both over its own network infrastructure and in cooperation with Telekom Deutschland. Customers with the EUR29.95 (USD40.2) per month ‘DSL M’ home package are able to boost connection speeds to up to 100Mbps by adding on the ‘VDSL 100000’ option for an additional EUR20 per month (or EUR10 per month for the first twelve months if a customer signs up before 2 November).
