According to NexTVLatam Daily News the world’s eighth largest global satellite operator by revenue, Yahsat, has announced plans to enter the Brazilian market when it launches its Al Yah 3 satellite in 2016. The new orbiter will have a Ka-band coverage and will provide broadband and TV services in the country, reaching around 95% of the population in the process. Yahsat claims its new satellite will use ‘more advanced technology’ in a bid to optimise costs, capacity, coverage and flexibility.
