ArmenTel launches new ‘Let’s Talk’ service for AMD990 per month

Vimpelcom-backed ArmenTel (Beeline) has launched a new pre-paid service, ‘Let’s Talk’, allowing users to make unlimited on-net calls for only AMD990 (USD2.43) per month. To activate the service, pay-as-you-go users (excepting those on its ‘Mobile Internet’ tariff plan) need only dial a three-digit code. The service is automatically renewed after 30 days providing the subscriber’s account has sufficient funds.

Last month, ArmenTel announced its latest 2G and 3G network expansions, improving service coverage in the capital Yerevan and six provinces. In its statement, ArmenTel says it has installed new 3G-enabled base transceiver stations (BTS) in the areas of: Panik, in the northern province of Shirak; Drakhtik in Gegharkunik province; Hovtashat in Ararat province; Shvanidzor in Syunik province; Arinj and Aghavnadzor in Kotayk region; and Proshian, Katnaghbyur, Karbi and Arteni in Aragatsotn region. Moreover, the cellco has increased 2G (GSM) coverage via new BTS in Yerevan, Gavar, Martuni and Jermuk, as well as in Hovtashat (Ararat region), and Shvanidzor (Syunik). Only last month, ArmenTel expanded its third-generation network by installing new BTS in the regions of Armavir and Kotayk.
