14 Jul 2014

T-Mobile’s Czech unit has announced that its 4G LTE network now covers 75% of the population of Prague, including the biggest residential centres in the east of the city. Telecompaper notes that under its latest expansion, T-Mobile Czech Republic has switched on its 4G signal in and around the area of Prague castle; it now plans to boost coverage to 100% of Prague’s inhabitants by October 2014. Furthermore, over the course of the summer the cellco is looking to boost its LTE coverage in a number of smaller towns and cities, namely: Ceska Lipa, Ceske Budejovice, Domazlice, Jicin, Louny, Prachatice, Pribram, Strakonice and Tachov. Finally, thanks to a cooperation agreement with rival O2 Czech Republic, the carrier has also launched 4G services in Vysocina.
