Etisalat and Huawei trial 400G technology

United Arab Emirates (UAE) telco Etisalat and Chinese equipment vendor Huawei have carried out trials of 400G optical transport network technology. The firms say that the high speed transport technology will enable improved delivery of broadband services such as IPTV and Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) 4G mobile networks. Huawei and Etisalat are also planning to conduct trials of 40Gbps GPON fibre network infrastructure.
