Paraguayan mobile operator Tigo plans to invest USD120 million to expand its nationwide fibre-optic backhaul infrastructure, La Nacion reports. The company’s network currently reaches 5,693km, of which 500km is in Asuncion. In terms of mobile coverage, the cellco notes that its network spans 240 cities and encompasses almost 1,000 base transceiver stations (BTS), giving it coverage of 100%.
