New committee on communications infrastructure approved

A Cabinet draft decision has been approved to establish a joint committee for communications infrastructure work in Qatar, reports local newspaper The Peninsular. The committee is to comprise a regulatory authority official plus representatives from involved/concerned parties, and will reportedly address development and construction activities, measures to build mobile network towers, paths and channels for terrestrial communications, fibre-optic infrastructure and other communication facilities.
