YouSee, Sigma Systems renew provisioning contract

3 Jun 2014

Danish network and cable TV operator YouSee, a subsidiary of telco TDC, and Canada-based operational support solutions provider Sigma Systems have signed a five-year licensing, maintenance and support contract encompassing the latter’s Sigma Provisioning platform. According to a joint press release, YouSee deployed Sigma Provisioning in May 2011 in order to replace its existing homegrown voice and data systems.

TDC Group’s vice president Jan Smith commented: ‘Sigma Provisioning has allowed us to deliver projects in a very agile way, which has helped YouSee to stay on top in the increasingly competitive communications marketplace. With Sigma’s support, we plan to add more services and subscribers onto the Sigma Provisioning platform and will upgrade to the newest software release’. YouSee claims to be Denmark’s largest TV distributor, and provided TV signals to more than 60% of all Danish households at the end of 2013.
