TDC's cable TV networks to be opened further to competitors

The Danish Business Authority (Erhvervsstyrelsen) has opened a public consultation on a draft decision to further open incumbent telco TDC’s cable TV network to competitors in 2015, by allowing alternative operators to provide the same retail products to end users as the ones provided by TDC via its network, effective 1 January 2015. According to a press release, the decision was taken after increased calls by consumers for broadband access to be bundled with a TV service. The Erhvervsstyrelsen invites all interested parties to submit their comments on the topic by 24 June 2014.
