SLT revenues continue to climb, reaching USD117m in Q1

13 May 2014

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) reported that its consolidated fixed line, broadband, mobile and TV revenues for the quarter ended 31 March 2014 climbed to LKR15.277 billion (USD117 million), up from LKR14.452 billion in the corresponding quarter of last year. SLT’s group results, which include cellular division Mobitel, displayed a net profit in this year’s first quarter of LKR533 million, although this was less than the LKR1.586 billion quarterly profit it posted in 1Q13. However, it is noted that favourable transactions in non-operational segments of the group contributed significantly to the bottom line a year ago.
