Following the successful merger of Portuguese operators Zon Multimedia and Optimus, the enlarged company – currently known as Zon Optimus – is reportedly planning to introduce a new brand name, ‘Nos’, which translates as ‘We’. The business daily notes that the new moniker has already been registered, but is still awaiting approval formal by the company’s board.
As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate, in January 2014 UK-based agency Wolff Olins was selected to lead the rebranding, following a tender in December 2013. The new name was originally expected to be unveiled in February, while the full rebranding process is expected to be concluded in the second half of 2014.
