CDMA provider Perfectum Mobile, Uzbekistan’s smallest wireless operator by subscribers, is planning to begin offering 3G services and has slated a commercial launch of CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. A in the capital, Tashkent, in the near future, local news portal UzDaily writes, citing a statement from the provider. The upgrade will boost theoretical maximum data speeds across the cellco’s network from the current 153kbps to 3.1Mbps.
