Orange Group has announced the launch of its international partnership programme ‘Orange Alliance’, which aims to leverage its best practices and experience in markets across the world to provide telecoms operators outside of its footprint with the means to stimulate growth and address challenges in their domestic markets. To achieve this, Orange will provide tailor-made services and support, and will offer access to Orange Group products, services and procurement activities as well as international roaming. Two operators – French Polynesia-based Vini and Portugal’s Zon Optimus – have already signed up to Orange Alliance services, while additional partners from other countries are currently in talks and are expected to join the partnership in the coming months.
Orange Alliance provides partners with the resources to act independently, while benefiting from the support of an international group. Based on a catalogue of services, best practices and expertise, operators can build their own programme according to their particular requirements. This modular approach covers areas including: innovation, procurement of service platforms, marketing and pricing support; sourcing of handsets and customer equipment; human resources; and roaming. ‘Through the Orange Alliance programme, we hope to support the growth of third-party operators by providing them with access to high-value services based on the Group’s extensive experience and know-how as one of the world’s largest telecoms operators,’ said Elie Girard, senior executive vice president of strategy & development at Orange, adding: ‘As it grows, the programme will form a community of operators that will benefit our development strategy and increase the visibility of Orange across the world.’
