German regional telecoms operator M-net has reported revenue of around EUR195 million (USD267 million) for the twelve months ended 31 December 2013, an increase of approximately EUR12 million (7%) compared to the previous year. According to a press release, the Munich-based company increased the number of retail lines by 13% to 252,000 as at the end of 2013, including more than 50,000 fibre-optic connections in areas such as Munich, Augsburg, Erlangen and a number of other municipalities in Bavaria and Hesse. By the end of 2015 the number of households covered by M-net’s fibre-optic network is expected to reach 600,000.
