MTN Ghana to invest GHC311m in 2014

Serame Taukobang, the CEO of MTN Ghana, has revealed that the company has earmarked investment of GHC311 million (USD115.4 million) to upgrade and extend its facilities during 2014. Mr Taukobang told GhanaWeb that MTN hopes to add 120 new 3G sites to its footprint this year, in addition to the 173 base transceiver stations (BTS) it deployed in 2013. He also talked up the company’s recent deployment of a 400km fibre network, which was designed to increase network capacity.
