Claro to spend USD1bn on 4G this year

Claro Colombia has plans to invest USD1 billion in the development of its 4G networks this year, TeleSemana writes, citing the operator’s president Juan Carlos Archila. The telco plans to expand its Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to Bucaramanga, Barranquilla and San Andres over the next few weeks, with a view to achieving 50% population coverage in three months’ time.
