ABS-CBN to transfer WiLL users to MVNO service

ABS-CBN Convergence, the telecoms arm of ABS-CBN, a commercial TV broadcaster in the Philippines, is to close its wireless in the local loop (WiLL) service in March next year. The remaining subscribers are to be transferred to the company’s mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) business which was launched last year under a wholesale agreement with Globe Telecom. The firm says the WiLL network has become too expensive to maintain.
