VNPT Global marks Cambodia expansion

VNPT Global, a subsidiary of MobiFone (Vietnam Mobile Telecom Services Company), has opened a representative office in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh as it seeks to become one of the country’s leading data services provider. According to a press release on the company’s website, the event officially marks the participation of VNPT Global in the Cambodian market ‘after more than two years of exploration and research’. The Vietnamese firm says it aims to account for around 25% of the Cambodian internet market by the end of this year, increasing to 50% by 31 December 2015.
