YahClick notches up 20,000 users by end-2013

YahSat has confirmed that YahClick, its high-speed satellite broadband service, signed up 20,000 subscribers by the end of 2013. Meanwhile, the company claimed monthly average revenue per user (ARPU) of between USD100-USD125 during its first year of operation.

YahClick is currently live in twelve countries, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen and South Africa. YahSat’s satellite has coverage of 28 nations across the Middle East, Africa and central and south-west Asia, covering around one billion people. YahSat is wholly-owned by Mubadala Development Company, the investment vehicle of the Government of Abu Dhabi.
