Alcatel-Lucent chosen as main LTE supplier by Orange Slovakia

A press release from Orange Slovakia says it has chosen Alcatel-Lucent as the main supplier for building a 4G LTE mobile network following the recent 800MHz/2600MHz frequency auction in the country, with an LTE service launch with mobile data speeds of up to 100Mbps planned ‘in the next few months’. The French-US vendor has partnered Orange since 1996 and is also a supplier of its 2G and 3G radio technology.
