Ukraine's networks under attack

Reuters reported yesterday that Ukraine’s telecommunications system has been attacked, involving equipment installed in the Russian-controlled Crimea region being used to interfere with the mobile phones of members of parliament, according to the head of the Ukrainian security service. Certain internet and telephony services were severed after Russian forces seized control of airfields and other installations in the peninsular on Friday, but MPs’ phones had also been specifically targeted since Monday, Valentyn Nalivaichenko told a press briefing.
