Yoigo extends LTE network footprint

Spanish mobile network operator Yoigo has announced the expansion of its 4G network to ten new provinces, those being: Granada, Lleida, Huesca, Melilla, Orense, Teruel, Jaen, La Rioja, Cantabria and Valladolid. As part of the latest phase of its network development the cellco confirmed that all municipalities with more than 70,000 inhabitants in these provinces were now covered by its LTE infrastructure. The new locations add to the 27 provinces in which Yoigo already offers its 4G services, and as previously reported by CommsUpdate, with the operator having launched LTE commercially in mid-July 2013 it aims to offer 4G in all cities with more than 70,000 inhabitants by the end of 1Q 2014.
