Telkom launches tender for potential VoD partner

South African operator Telkom has published an invitation for interested bidders for the provision of video-on-demand (VoD) services to its customers, local news agency TechCentral reports. The management and process of the tender will be conducted through Telkom’s standard procurement process, while a bidder’s conference will be held on 27 February 2014. ‘We have been progressing well with our efforts to deliver the ultimate connected home experience to South Africans. We believe that content has a major role to play in truly differentiating the Telkom offer and we are steaming ahead to deliver this to our customers as soon as possible’, a company’s media statement read.
