17 Feb 2014

Time Warner Cable (TWC) has confirmed that it is doubling its top-level download speeds in New York City, from 50Mbps to 100Mbps. As such, a free upgrade is currently underway for all ‘Ultimate 50’ subscribers. The cable giant’s Ultimate 100 service debuted in Kansas City in December 2012 and was recently extended to residential and business customers in Los Angeles and Hawaii. Going forward, TWC is expected to upgrade its downlink transmission speeds in NYC and Los Angeles to 300Mbps in due course.
