Drillisch posts 14.4% rise in EBITDA

German mobile service provider Drillisch has announced its preliminary unaudited financial results for the twelve months ended 31 December 2013, reporting a 14.4% increase in EBITDA to EUR70.8 million (USD96.7 million) from EUR61.9 million the previous year. Adjusted for the effects of the divestment of pre-paid accounts in May 2012 and a reduction in mobile termination rates, service revenue fell by EUR7.0 million, or 2.4%, from EUR292.1 million to EUR285.1 million in full-year 2013. Gross profit increased by 9.4% year-on-year to EUR119.0 million, while earnings before taxes rose from EUR20.8 million to EUR285.1 million over the period. At 31 December 2013 Drillisch reported a total MVNO customer base of 1.705 million, compared to 1.47 million a year earlier.
