Brazilian mobile operator Claro has been named as the leader in the country’s machine-to-machine (M2M) sector at the end of 2013, claiming 44.9% of the total 8.3 million lines in service. Figures from regulator Anatel show that America Movil subsidiary Claro was well ahead of the second-placed operator, Telefonica’s Vivo unit, which had 28.5% of the overall market, while TIM Brasil and Oi claimed third and fourth spots respectively.
