China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has issued a second batch of mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) licences, allocating concessions to eight more companies. The watchdog awarded licences to Love Strickland (Aisidi), 35 Internet (35.com), Suzhou Snail Digital Technology (Snail Game), Gome, Suning Yun, Interim Group (China CIFCO Investment), Changjian Times Communications (CJTC) and Yuan Communication Technology (Yuantel). As previously noted by CommsUpdate, the first block of MVNO authorisations were handed out in late December 2013 to eleven companies, including HiChina, a subsidiary of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, Telling Telecommunication Holding, Beijing Bewinner Communications, JD.com and Lianlian.com.
