Uruguay’s state-owned national telecoms operator Antel has signed an agreement with Aicent, a provider of data network services and solutions for mobile operators, to allow LTE network connectivity with more than 55 operators worldwide. Antel says the deal enables the first connectivity between LTE networks in the Latin America and the Caribbean region. It will give mobile subscribers uninterrupted roaming access to an increasing network of 4G operators, offering a unique experience to travellers between Uruguay and other countries.
