Tele2 Eesti upgrading 2G/3G network in Tartu

22 Jan 2014

Tele2 Eesti has revealed plans to upgrade all of its 2G/3G base stations in the country’s second largest city, Tartu. According to the mobile network operator, it will replace its existing equipment with more powerful and reliable towers and once work is complete it will look to develop its network around the country in a similar fashion.

With Tele2 offering LTE services using the 2600MHz band in Tartu, the operator has also noted that it aims to introduce 4G technology over the 800MHz band in the city later this year.
