TeliaSonera’s new operating model means integration of EMT and Elion

10 Jan 2014

Following the earlier announcement from parent group TeliaSonera that it is changing its group operating model, the strategy will mean integrating the operations of its Estonian subsidiaries, mobile operator EMT and fixed line provider Elion Enterprises, according to Salomon Bekele, the Swedish group’s head of media relations, who told local news site E24.ee that ‘this means that our organisation is no longer divided into technology-based [units], as is currently the case [with] EMT and Elion.’ As previously reported by CommsUpdate, TeliaSonera will adjust its operating structure by 1 April 2014, grouping its operations in three geographic areas: Europe, Eurasia and Sweden, compared to its current reporting divisions of Mobility, Broadband and Eurasia.
