Aircel taps ZTE for LTE deployment

Indian mobile operator Aircel has enlisted China’s ZTE Corporation to deploy its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network. The first stage of the rollout programme will cover Chennai, Rest of Tamil Nadu (RoTN) and a few other ‘business critical’ circles. The Chinese manufacturer notes that it has recently completed the migration of Aircel’s data services to its LTE evolved packet core in the Chennai and ROTN circles.
