Armenia’s national telecoms regulator, the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), has awarded mobile operator Orange Armenia additional radio frequencies to allow it to expand its 3G network in the country, Arka news agency reports. In a ruling made on 25 December the PSRC confirmed that the cellco will be able to use eleven more blocks of radio frequencies until 19 November 2023, enabling it to extend its 3G footprint in the capital Yerevan, as well as in other parts of the country.

Orange Armenia is a 100% owned subsidiary of France’s Orange Group. It provides the coverage of 97% of the national territory and mobile voice and data access in 600 towns and villages.
