Indosat to plough up to USD460.3m in LTE modernisation in 2014, report says

Indonesian mobile operator PT Indosat, a unit of Qatari telecoms group Ooredoo, reportedly plans to invest between IDR4.8 trillion and IDR5.6 trillion (USD393.4 million and USD460.3 million) in its network modernisation drive in 2014 to support the implementation of Long Term Evolution (LTE) 4G technology. Indosat chief executive Alexander Rusli is quoted by Kontan as saying that the company plans to finance the CAPEX from internal resources, having already allocated up to IDR8 trillion for that task. It hopes to fully complete the modernisation of all networks in 2014, he added.
