Tele2 Sweden’s sale of residential fibre/cable ops to Telenor approved

Tele2 has announced that the Swedish Competition Authority (Konkurrensverket) has given its consent to the previously announced sale of Tele2’s Swedish residential cable and fibre operations, including its residential customers, to Telenor Sweden. The sale will be formally completed on 2 January 2014. On 22 October 2013 Telenor Sweden entered into an agreement with Tele2 to acquire the latter’s Swedish residential fibre and cable TV business for SEK775 million (USD118 million).
